Springtime is an exciting time of year with many transformations to behold. People experience winter’s last frost, spring’s first flowers, and the return of birds’ singing. But software Product Marketers see none of these things, because we’re on the road for conference season… This is the time of the year where we talk with customers, meet prospects, gain insights, share success, and size up the competition for the year.

GMC Software starts our year with annual kickoffs in our three regions. This year, our kickoffs were in February in Vienna (EMEA,) March in Punta Cana (Americas,) and April in Bangkok (Asia Pacific.)  These kickoffs are a chance for out teams to train together, share insights, and reward excellent performance. I was proud to announce GMC’s 22 new EDPs and 104 new EDAs during these kickoffs!

GMC Software exhibited at Xploration 2016 in Orlando, where our new Customer Journey Mapping was a runner-up for Technology of the Year and a President’s award for our successful EDP Challenge. We also had a packed house at our “Speed Dating” session, where we had 12 minutes to talk about our current and future product developments. There were quite a few competitors taking notes during that session. GMC Software also sponsored the final morning’s keynote, where Rick Parrish presented the CX Ecosystem.

We attended AMIS in Mexico City, where we presented to leading insurers in Mexico, and made connections with many clients and prospects in a very active market that views CCM generally as a part of a larger communication initiative.

We also attended IDC Directions in Boston, where we saw how we could fit in with the other strategic initiatives that are coming to your companies. GMC Software is already developing innovative cloud solutions and mobile solutions that will help you achieve tomorrow’s goals today. For industry focus, we have attended Celent’s I and I day to see how finance and insurance companies are innovating.

In addition, we presented GMC’s Software strategy and product portfolio to Forrester for their 2016 refresh of the 2014 Forrester Wave for CCM.  We’re looking forward to seeing this update, as many changes have taken place since the last Wave was released.

While we have learned a lot so far, we’re not done with this season yet! We’ll be exhibiting at Document Strategy Forum in Chicago, May 10-12. We’ll be attending Gartner’s Customer Strategies & Technologies Summit in London.

We can promise that the people we’ve met, companies we’ve learned about, and connections we have made will improve the scope and direction of the software. We love this season, because there are so many opportunities to learn. This is an investment we make into the market to deliver the industry’s best software portfolio to you!
